It is very unusual to find tangerine in any Chinese sauces. Every year after Chinese New Year Mrs. So would collect the fruit from her tangerine plants and preserve into snack for her children to enjoy.
It was indeed her innovative idea to mix her preserved tangerine with premium black olive and citrus peel into this unique and special sauce.
